DESCRIPTION
Northeast Region Honor Guard Academy is a weeklong course held the week of CTS Summer Schools. The objective is to build experts in Drill and Ceremonies, increase interest in the CAP Honor Guard program, and build instructors to teach and establish Honor Guard programs at their home squadron. The Honor Guard Academy teaches an abridged curriculum of the National Honor Guard Academy focusing on Colors and Rifle Team Elements of an Honor Guard. The course is taught by trained and experienced Honor Guardsmen from Penn State Air Force ROTC, Air Force Base Honor Guard members from units across the wing, and when available, members of the US Air Force Honor Guard from Washington, DC. Students will have an opportunity to perform Color and Rifle team drill during the CTS graduation.

Requirement: C/SrA or above, completed Basic Encampment
